True to andBeyond ’s commitment to conservation and sustainable luxury, the redevelopment has been thoughtfully designed to minimise environmental impact. The original suites were built in complete harmony with the natural flow of the forest, and the existing structures will be respectfully preserved and enhanced, continuing the legacy and vision upon which the lodge was founded.
Enhancements will include beautifully refined interiors, upgraded guest spaces, and carefully considered structural improvements to both the suites and the main lodge area — creating an even more immersive, elegant, and unforgettable safari retreat. The lodge’s existing swimming pool will be transformed into a stunning reshaped and tiered oasis, complemented by a brand-new shaded massage area overlooking the forest surroundings. Exciting additions also include a spacious new family suite, an elegant library and lounge, as well as newly designed walkways centred around a welcoming firepit that seamlessly connects the main lodge to the new library space.
Guests can also look forward to significant enhancements to the main dining and bar areas, elevating both comfort and sophistication throughout the lodge. The reimagined Phinda Forest Lodge will furthermore feature a fully equipped, state-of-the-art gym, ensuring wellness and relaxation remain part of the safari experience.
